Myths from Mumbai
This article by Mr. Arvind Panagariya appeared in The Indian Express on December 16, 2008. I totally agree with what he has argued in the article and recommend it as a must read.
I agree, the article is good as it's wise to dispel the myths. Too bad the article wasn't published somewhere more mainstream. Unfortunately, most of the Western world cannot distinguish (and are too apathetic to attempt to distinguish) the different groups of terrorists. It's black and white. Muslim and non-Muslim. It's a dangerous habit in the US and in most EU countries. If the leaders can't figure it out, then how can the ignorant masses?
If Pakistan wants some credibility, they need to arrest the likes of Dawood Ibrahim and the people who work with and for him. It's not a complete solution, but it would be a good start.
