Board day 1

Today was English. Nice paper. I am feeling sad as my 15 year old tryst with a very beautiful language ends today. (Not to mention the few English questions they ask in BITSAT)

Let There be Rock

In the beginning
Back in nineteen fifty five
Man didn't know 'bout a rock 'n' roll show
And all that jive
The white man had the schmaltz
The black man had the blues
No one knew what they was gonna do
But Tschaikovsky had the news
He said let there be sound
There was sound
Let there be light
There was light
Let there be drums
There was drums
Let there be guitar
There was guitar
Let there be rock

And it came to pass
That rock 'n' roll was born
All across the land every rockin' band
Was blowin' up a storm
And the guitar man got famous
The business man got rich
And in every bar there was a superstar
With a seven year itch
There was fifteen million fingers
Learnin' how to play
And you could hear the fingers pickin'
And this is what they had to say
Let there be light
Sound
Drums
Guitar
Let there be rock

One night in the club called the shakin' hand
There was a 42 decibel rockin' band
And the music was good and the music was loud
And the singer turned and he said to the crowd
Let there be rock

Iron Maiden coming to India

Legendary British metal band Iron Maiden have confirmed that they are going to play in Bangalore on March 17 this year. Regular readers will know how much a Maiden fan(atic) I am. The Gods are coming but sadly I am not going. If I kill myself, please arrange for Hallowed be thy name to be played at my funeral service.

Ha Ha Ha.

Ride The Lightning

When I feel tired, I listen to music. These days my playlist mostly comprises of Metallica. Last night I listened to 1984 thrash masterpiece Ride The Lightning. Absolute stunning guitarwork. I suggest you get a CD and listen to it.

Symphony and Metallica

You thought Metal was all about Guitar, Bass, Drums and mad headbanging?
Metal is also about Guitar, Bass, Drums, Tuba, Violin, Violas, Violincellos, Cellos, Flutes, Oboes, Clarinets, Bassoons, Horns, Trumpets, Trombones, Harp, Timpani, Percussion and Keyboard and ofcourse mad headbanging.
Watch the masters of metal Metallica with the San Fransisco Symphony Orchestra here and tell me how was it?...........( I have not seen it myself due to exams)

One

"How could a man lose as much of himself as I have and still live? When a man buys a lottery ticket you never expect him to win because it's a million to one shot. But if he does win, you'll believe it because one in a million still leaves one. If I'd read about a guy like me in the paper I wouldn't believe it, cos it's a million to one. But a million to ONE always leaves one. I'd never expect it to happen to me because the odds of it happening are a million to one. But a million to one always leaves one. One.

Also by Metallica!!!!!
